Poem on love
The Tragendy of Love

Can one person ever truly know another?
Count on their words or in fact truly love each other?
Can we as humans give up our egocentricity,
To surrender to love’s complex simplicity?

As days roll past and time grinds you down,
You make your choices, always feeling they are sound.
You tell yourself if you work together
One love and one motive will last forever.

But look if you dare inside human motivation,
And if you’re honest you’ll come to one realization;
That good intentions aside, for they mean little in the end,
On you and you alone can you safely depend.

Time wears you down with each passing day
And Technicolor dreams wash out to gray.
Yet the moral is not to stop the dreams from evolving,
Only to protect your heart to keep it from dissolving.
