a letter to my love
the sweetest tangerine
this girl has ever seen
but i'm dyin to taste you
no fruit could replace you

my city is so cold
but your energy i hold
tight enough to heat me
until your arms can greet me

separated by a season
my mind searches for the reason
my heart seeks one so distant
needing you this instant

my body screams and my heart aches
cursin the time ya message takes
to reach me
for your dreams to teach me
to believe in the power between
me and my brasilian queen

last night i had a dream
that you were a beam
of light within my dark
while strolling thru the park
i became a path to guide you
and grew a wood to hide you
from your sharpest pain
and shelter from the rain

but i let a few drops fall
upon your caramel face
for with no pain at all
how will you comprehend
the love in my embrace
on the fateful day we end
our travels in one place
