An overview on the depression of getting older.
Echoing words heard by many
“When you grow what will you be?”
Infamous question continues to haunt
Following us since we were three

Ever-changing seems the reply
To these words that manifold
Searching for a inch of self pride
Still the answer remains untold

Midlife hits and we begin to mull
Time we’ve wasted over the years
Never answering the dire question
That continues to ring our ears

Years blow by and alone we sit
Wondering why it was so relevant
The question so many pondered
And the way our life was spent

The question and our mind altered
It’s no longer what will you be
The question  now as it seems
Who am I, what happened to me?
