The random thoughts of a lost love.
Wind swept whispers dance on the crest of each new
wave, calling your name as loud as thunder, thunder
only my mind can hear.

The night’s warm breeze touches my skin, like the soft
caress of your hand the last time we were together. I
remember the way your hair flowed in the breeze,
touching my face as I leaned in close, as soft as the
kisses from your tender lips.

The stars twinkling in the deep dark sky, remind me of
the sparkle in your eyes, eyes that could melt my
soul, eyes that burned with a passion, a passion for
life, for love, a passion which you shared with a
simple man like me.

I walk the sand covered miles, leaving a single set of
foot prints where once there were two. My heart and
mind are awash in thoughts of you.

With each new step I miss you more, I miss the
happiness, the laughter we once shared, the joy I knew
with you that will never be equaled.

You left in the middle of the night, a night much like
this, when not even the shadows could follow. The dark
road your only salvation, leading you to knew dreams,
new hopes, a new life with new beginnings, far from
the pain you knew, the pain we shared, the sins of the
past washed away like dirt in a cold summer rain.

No goodbyes, no farewell kiss, just an empty letter
with a picture inside, a photograph of a past, a past
without a future. A dream once shared, now just a
memory.

The night has passed much too fast, the sun rises on
another day. One more day of uncertainty, one more day
without you. May it pass quickly and quietly so the
nightfall can come, that my dreams will be filled once
again with your laughter, your smile, the things that
once made me whole.

Until then my
love………………………………………………………………….
