A poem about a Geisha in Japan, inspired my the book and film of Memoirs of a Geisha.
Her ebony hair waxed backwards,
Her lips crimson as blood,
Charcoled eyebrows perfect,
Kimono uncreased as she stood.

Her outlined eyes were startling,
Her face as white as a ghost,
Fans in her hands at the ready,
To dance for the party and host.
