Revised. "I gasp, surprised as warm lips find mine, unexpected, but yet divine."
Sensual eyes stare into mine,
searching my soul, causing time to standby.
A cruel hand caresses my face,
causing my pained heart suddenly to race.

Arrogant lips curl into a smile,
letting forth soft sinister laughter,
causing all sane thoughts
instantly to shatter.

I gasp, surprised---warm lips find mine,
unexpected, yet truly divine.

Breaking apart, brown orbs look down
without sympathy,
as a cunning voice sweetly entices me.
"I know you love me--deny it not,
come with me, she shall never know
you even took part."

But I back away,
for a grave sin I have committed.
I fell in love with him, yet knew it could never be,
for his life's love was another,
my friend, whom I could never hurt,
not even in jealousy.

Lies pour forth from my mouth,
causing inner grief to be left unsaid.
"I do not love you," I cry,
"Get away, and go to her instead."

A smirk then appeared on that enchanting face,
as one last time his sultry gaze locked with mine,
he then walked away--vanishing from sight,
never to come back into my lonesome life...

He now remains with her,
even till this very day,
and I know he never really did love me.
But always, I shall wait...
