A new start
You came into my life with such tragedy
But you brought out something new in me
Something I desperately needed to see
In a dark corner there was life in what used to be
The years had pushed it way down deep
So far away from the light never to be seen
I began to feel a strange stir
Could it be her?
You made me open my eyes and think
You brought me out of a long dark sleep
Now I see I have become a shadow of me
Just when I thought you were my sanity
You began to break my heart
How can this be, you drove me crazy
Yet you gave me the courage to start
Such a long journey to be free
At least I know there is a worthwhile me
So where ever you are tonight
You helped me know I would be allright
Now I remember the woman I used to be
