Ah Mr. Moon!
There you are!
There you fly
Through your sky
Many's the bye and bye
I've raised an eye
To meet your silver gaze
Through night's velvet haze

You've been true to me
a very deity
always there to greet me
if only impersonally.

Coolly you watch the world
the desert's swirl, the waves unfurl
waves of sand and water
earth's sons and ocean's daughters.
