Just a poem about choices in life.
So you want to be a warrior;
fly to meet your demons mid-dive,
but the eagle must kill to stay alive.

So you want to be the peacemaker;
to fly so far, the olive branch to bring,
but all the dove can really do is sing.

So you want to rise above;
to remove beyond the ebb and flow,
but the albatross still needs a ship to follow.

So you want to be knowledgeable and wise;
to take every mystery and it explain it away,
but the owl cannot stand the light of day.

So you want to live on what has been discarded;
to take what is not wanted and freely gained,
but the vulture is always the most disdained

So you want to laugh and play;
to go as you wish and do only what you must,
but the raven is one who few would trust.

So we all have wings yet are not free;
what path we choose, what choice we make,
still we must give in turn for what we take.
