A poem about checking ones blood sugar
The world spins round,
even when I lay down.
My head is spinning,
the dizziness is winning.
I can feel it coming,
a freight train running.
I did not test today,
my blood sugar has all gone away.
“Test four times a day,”
that is what they say.
“I’m too busy for that,
I’ve got to go STAT!”
A few seconds is all it takes,
if I had done it I might be awake.
