A sonnet about my peacock

                                            My Peacock

My peacock upon its golden legs rests,
It's feathers a kerfluffle  of colorfulness.
Of thy golden legs thou art most haughty,
The feathers thou possess make you naughty.
Thy gleaming beak you admire daily,
Your wings, while fanning, you study gaily.
Thy voice you hear, your heart soars with delight,
Any others who may hear tremble in fright.
In your shrewd cunning you greatly find joy,
You find it more amusing than a toy.
    Estimating yourself you are pleased,
In your reflection your pride is appeased.
My silly, vain peacock you are loved,
Though you squawk and peck when closely hugged.
