"PEOPLE TODAY DON'T APPRECIATE THEIR GIFT TO LIVE.
THEY DON'T STOP TO THINK WHAT SOME WOULD GIVE..."

Once there was a girl on strings.
She could do nothing but sing.

All she wanted was to be free.
And how she wished she had a family.

She lived in a magical place called 'No Where'.
And no one else seemed to care.

She was only a puppet, stitched and sewn;
but she, too, had a mind of her own.

She was merely a puppet, but she still had dreams.
Dreams that didn't involve being held back on strings.

What she would do to be real.
And to know what it is like to feel.

As her creator grew older,
the puppet grew colder.

She was alone in the toy cabinet,
wishing she could get rid of all her sadness.

She finally decided to run away.
She thought she would be happier that way.

As she climbed out and began to go,
her strings became tangled in a bow.

She cursed herself as she began to cry;
as a tear fell to the floor, and her strings still tied.

All of a sudden a figure appeared.
It was a fairy that told her not to frear.

She waved her wand and gave a smile.
And everything was disappearing, all the while.

Then the fairy vanished in bright light.
Then the puppet girl knew that everything would be all right.

At last, a life she would get.
As she drew her last puppet breath.

At that moment, at dawn,
she was still, and she was gone.
