A poem about emotional withholding and repressed anger or depression

Those who weep in the night
call out to the silence for healing.
They weep with the stars
call to dark tulips in the heavens
black tulips with a fragrance intoxicating, maddening.
Those who weep in the night.

Those who weep at dawn
call to the loud dissonance of birds and insects.
They tempt the eye of the sun
Their tears are disfigured, heavy, like glass, ill-used
Those who weep at dawn.

Those who weep at the day
call to the rock of human failure.
They are sun bleeders, flower bleeders.
They hoard the bread of heaven, possess the sacred chalice.
Back breakers, those who weep at the day.

Those who weep in the night
call out to the silence for healing.
