The unfulfilled wait for a kiss
I WAIT AND WAIT AND.........

I wait and wait and wait and wait
Each morning, evening and each night,
As you go out to work or come
Back home and have some moments light.

I wait and wait and wait to be
Held by you in your arms one day,
When you enter the home and to
Me words of love you softly say.

I wait and wait for that kiss that
I have been dreaming for so long,
Which would tell me that you are mine
And to none else but me belong.

I wait for that moment with you
When you and I would be but one,
When without uttering a word,
We know the thoughts our hearts have spun.

But now I wait no more for you.
Those days of waiting are now gone.
I know that waiting is futile.
I have now learnt to live alone.
