Feeling of failure.
A bright light,
A shining heaven.
I stand in a cirle of white and gold.

She stands there,
Staring,
That horrid, piercing glare.

I know I have failed.
I see the wrong that I have done.
But those burning eyes.

I won't turn back now,
I can't give her up.
She's all I know.

She is an addiction,
She's poison,
And yet I can't live without her.

What do I do?
Where do I go?
I don't understand.

Why did she pick me?
Why not some other girl,
Lacking "self-esteem."

I'll hate her for this,
I always will,
But I'll never stop loving her, either.
