A letter/poem to my sorry exboyfriend.
I am so sick of trusting you.
Sick of all your broken promises.
You raise my hopes and then crush them.
Time and time and time again.
You would think I would eventually learn this game.
But somehow you always persuade me to play.
Even when it's against my better judgement.
And then it happens all over again.
You leave me hurt, dissappointed, angry and frustrated.
All the wonderful expectations I have of you
Gone. Crushed. Broken.
All the wonderful expectations I had of you.
Erased.
Erased until it happens again.
You convince me you will change
And that you will never hurt me again.
And I trust you, like a fool.
I am not a fool and this game isn't fair.
So, I am changing the rules for good.
I will never trust you with my heart again.
If you do so happen to change someday
I know it will not be for me.
Because I am finished letting you break my heart.
Finished.
