A short poem about love and deceit.
Creating love that doesn't exist,
Have faith in me you always insist,
Here I am in empty dreams,
But nothing is ever what it seems.

I can feel it deep down inside,
For this many times I have cried,
Our relationship is wearing thin,
More afraid than I've ever been.

Where do I go from here,
For I know the end is near,
Why can't you be here with me,
But the truth I have to see.

We are worlds apart,
We've known this from the start.
I've always believed in you,
Someday you'll see my point of view.

It doesn't have to be this hard,
You don't always have to be on guard,
Love can be the greatest thing,
What wonderful feelings it does bring.

Please listen to me now,
Because time will not allow,
More hurtful lies and deceit,
So please will you take a seat.

Listen what I have to say,
Not once has there been a day,
I've not loved you and dreamt of you,
For this I'm sure you have no clue.

With you I am stronger,
There's nothing I can't conquer,
Please try to understand,
This can't all be planned.

I need us to be okay,
You cannot continue to delay,
I've got to feel what you feel,
For my love for you is real.

This is your last chance,
Take your time and give it a second glance,
My love will eventually die,
When that time comes I will say goodbye.

Please be with me now,
I cannot tell you why or how,
But this much I can say,
All the love within will make it okay.
