And fleas on kittens. . .
Dark metallic cauldrons
And cold iron maidens.
Mummies in bandages
Tied up with strings.
These are a few of my favorite things.

Knight mounted stallions
And moss covered dandelions. . .
Dungeons and gallows
And horseradish with pickles.
Vampire bats that fly with the moon on their wings.
These are a few of my favorite things.

Gargoyles full of malice
Who sit atop the palace. . .
Crimson stains that stay on my clothes and pajamas.
Soot speckled winters
Floods they will bring.
These are a few of my favorite things.

When the choir sings
When the church bell rings
When I’m feeling sad
I simply remember a few of my favorite things
And then I don’t feel so bad.
