a short story for a contest
I wonder if he is looking at me. I have been trying to get his attention all evening, but he is so hard to read.
Sometimes I think he is staring at me, but just as I glance at him he turns away. Really, the nerve.
“Ma-ma”
He spoke! I can’t wait to tell James.
