A poem I wrote both as a Mother's Day present and also to earn extra credit in English! :]
                                              Dear Mother

With open arms, you came along and brought her in world
Above all else God chose you to raise this little girl
She grew and grew still you remain the only one
Who made her stronger than she could ever be
And shown her everything that she could ever see
While Mother's Day means gifts of corny cards and jewlery
She gives you this, her thoughts to words of what you mean to her
No pearls of white to compensate for days and nights
You've been here by her side
While bad days led to sleepless nights you held her while she cried
So while a day for mothers means more to you than she
                                    Happy Mother's Day, Mom
                                          To you, from me
                                                    [♥]
