A poem I wrote a long time ago about a dream that ended up being a friendship.
My eyes open and flutter at the intense light.
The world lies tranquil, a bountiful green delight.
Beauty appears, invades my space, tempts my sight.
Her presence enticing my heart to reach new heights.

Her movement is fluid as she advances, elegantly chic.
Bangs parting sensually to the wind's delicate beat.
She sits among the jasmine, tempting me to speak,
While her fiery mane dances, provocatively sweet.

The world around her seems to come alive
While inside, I am fighting to survive;
Suffering, smashing against my hollow shell,
Driving me further into the shadows where I dwell.

As I gaze into her eyes, depression starts to falter,
Demons retreat, no longer circling the altar.
A touch, a smile, my angel in disguise,
Leads my soul away from certain demise.
