Short poem about the struggle for creative initiative
The calm before the storm

Seems like it lasts forever

When thoughts become lukewarm

And ideas aren't so clever

You write for hours

Write for days

Trying to get the perfect phrase

You've fallen upon a stumbling block

As wandering eyes glance towards the clock

Although it was an earnest endeavour

The storm never came whatsoever

That is, until, he put down the pen

Went out of the house

And lived life once again
