person suffering from deppression wanting to change the world he/she is living in.
Weeping into the empty cup of coffee, without knowing why.
It feels like craziness, because the tears are unstoppable,
And the slightest thought makes me cry,
Like the homeless man who sold the magazine-
Oh, what is he doing now and can he be any happier than I?
He who tries to rebuild his life out of mere hope and persistence,
Without family and friends and a roof to call his own.
We are alike for we both ,at times, feel bitter and alone -
At the state of our world today.
Yet, he fights for change whilst I mull over it.

Wiping away the hot drops which scorn my face,
Trying to regain self control, and glaring at the reflection,
All composure is lost, fallen without grace,
The process restarts with thoughts of loss, despair, and selfishness.

Looking at the headlines-
Another child is missing, a raging war and floods…
Anger re-emerges with the thudding pain within my chest.
Power is within our grasp we say,
Make a change, fight for what is right,
The tears have ceased for now, and hope has emerged in its place
Changing other peoples lives seems enough to live for.
To fight for.
