Sunsetting relationships
AT DAY'S END


Day's end
skyscrapers, languorous,
drain a blood red horizon.
All things ending
seep gently--
come silent into being.
Change gathers on the breeze.
Rain cometh again--
stirrings in the heart
rise to the eyes
drop for drop
match the skies.
Will She come again?
Stay this time?
Or always leaving
cries behind.
