fun, thoughtful,
My bumps and bruises, my cuts and scrapes,
my ouches and ohs, my burns and breaks.
My adventures in life have hurt real bad,
but, that's okay, for I am not sad.
I'm thankful for them all, man I had a ball.

Remember the time, when you taught me to stand,
I can walk now, without holding your hand.
Remember the time, you taught me to sing,
still can't do that, without fear of what it may bring.
Remember the time, you taught me to shave,
blood was everywhere, and you were afraid
Remember the day, when you gave me away,
I said, "I do" to a man like you.

All the things I have learned in life, you showed me the way,
through hard work and strife.
I cannot repay you, for what you have done,
sorry I was a daughter, and not a son.
but, you did not care, cause we did it all,
up in the morning, until night would fall.
All of my memories are happy and free,
let's see someone try to take those from me.

You taught me to fight, and be on my guard,
we scrapped for hours, out in our front yard.
You taught me to fish, and how to bait a hook,
one thing you forgot, you didn't teach me to cook.
Time has come for me to pass it all down,
My kids are gonna think twice about having me around.
But when it's all through, I know what they'll do,
They'll look up to me, as I look up to you.
