The first poem in my journal. Inspired by a Caribou coffee shop.
So much going on
Never enough to go around
It's a shame to think
Some do, some don't

Sitting here along
Thinking about how
It ought to be
I can't help
But notice the insecurities
We have with each other

What would we learn if
Only to sit and have a talk
So few happy thoughts
Come to mind

When you sit and watch
You see that it really
Is just as it seems
Sort of makes you think
We ought to pay some
Attention to it in our days
