Living With Depression
Life waits silently at my door step
Tears full of rage and sorrow
And I think, "Well today is as good as any day to die"
Depression waits on every corner
In every room
On every bus and light rail
"Well," I tell him
"If we don't have enough money for a room to live in
at least we have enough money to die"
He thinks I'm kidding, maybe I am
The scars long since forgotten appear great
In the soft moon light
The cutting board is fresh
I am ready
As life waits silently at my door step
Wanting to be let in
And I die slowly with in me
