A look at how an infatuation is finaly seen for what it really is.
It must have been the concept of you
A vivid daydream that I willed into existence

It must have been the pretty words
Words that I read with rose-colored glasses

It must have been the images I saw onscreen
A creative soul that I imagined reflected my own soul

And I tired
To build, to create, to learn, to reach
Towards you

And I failed
To see an imperfect man
To see the words as just word
To see the images as reflections of an unknown soul

Now I only know humility
Now I only know regret
Now I only know that I was simply misunderstanding you
