MY ANGEL - MY FRIEND.


Just once in a while, God blesses us all
With a special friend, a true pal.
He blessed me so many years ago
When He gave to the world, my Dear Val.

Through my teenage years she was there for me,
A little bit wiser and older.
Any worries or confusion I felt in my life,
Val was there, all my secrets I told her.

She had a young brother who was shy and alone,
And thought that a match she could make.
I have said she was wise, she saw all the signs,
An introduction was all it did take.

She was not just a friend, but a sister now too,
Her love and support given free.
When her brother, my husband, passed from this life,
She was there by my side to console me.

She fulfilled all the tasks God set her on Earth,
But her talents were needed above.
So He called to His Angel and gave her her wings,
And she placed her hand into His Glove.

I will miss my friend, Val, with all of my heart,
But I feel she will always be near.
As she watches over me from Heaven above,
My own special Angel so dear.
