Written after my first visit to Dawwson City Yukon in 2000
I walked with the ghosts of the goldrush
As I wandered through old Dawson Town
And the ghosts were of miners and madams
And of scoundrels and men of renown

There were ghosts of bartenders and badmen
There were ghosts of the weak and the hard
There were ghosts of the lost and downtrodden
There was one of "Bob Service" 'The Bard'

There were ghosts of the feeble and foolish
There were ghosts of the sick and the lame
In both body and spirits I saw them
All come to play "Lady Luck's" game

But, "Lady Luck's" really no lady
And some ghosts she did not treat too well
As I walked 'mongst the ghosts of the goldrush
I knew some found Heaven-some Hell!
