A Poem about a child unable to become a man.
You where there again mother
Behind my back
Breathing down my sholder
Tucking in my collar

You where there again mother
On the other side of my door
Peaking in the keyhole
Ear pressed firmly to the door

And on my first date
You followed me in your sullen SUV

And at my first party
You knocked on the front door - just to see if there was any alchohol

Will you continue to be there
When I loose my virginity

Will you continue to be there
When I skip a college class

Or will you allow yourself to reflect on your own life
And see a life messured in unrequited worries and guilt
