Sometimes it's easier to be ourselves when we can just be alone with our thoughts.
Alone with my thoughts
Is where I sometimes like to be
My mind is the only place
Where I can really be me

I put on a show
For everyone else
But when it's just me
I can be myself

I've hidden most of my failures
And often swallow my pride
I think to myself
This life has been a wild ride

There's really much more to me
More then your eyes can tell
If only you would look harder
You would see that as well

Alone with my thoughts
Is where I sometimes like to be
My mind is the only place
Where I am totally free
