A typical day in Melbourne, Australia, as written by a tourist!
FOUR SEASONS IN ONE DAY.

I woke up this September morn
To sunshine warm: blue sky.
I am on holiday, you see,
Far away from home am I.

That was early morning, then,
But when the clock struck nine,
The clouds rolled in, the wind sprang up,
'Twas a cold and miserable time.

I scurried indoors to escape
From bitter weather cold.
The rain was falling from above
And chilling bones, so old.

A quiet nap, a nice warm bed,
It needed to be done.
Sleep was disturbed by blinding rays
Of a burning midday sun.

The afternoon progressed quite fast,
The sunlight dimmed and paled.
A gentle breeze swayed leaves on trees
As night once more prevailed.

If you're Australian, you'll understand
My poetic words and reasons.
For I'm in Melbourne - better known
As the city of Four Seasons!
