Alone with three..and only me!!
Morning's sun shines in my window,
the light brings a hopeful new day,
awaking to my son's calming giggles,
hearing my girls in the room play.

Each morning begins all the same,
routine is memory packed in tight,
another day to get through alone
with no help to set it all right.

Struggling to get a coffee,
something to perk me right up,
with crusty eyes I search,
grabbing for my favorite cup.

The children have no patience,
they yell at me to get them food,
I spilled the box of cereal,
not ready for this morning's mood.

After I clean up the mess I created,
I finally get them to eat
then off to the bath tub they go,
cleaning them from heads to their feet.

After the morning settles down,
I realize it's still only begun,
more to get done today,
with no promise it will be fun.

I wish to myself I had someone,
to hold me close and love me right,
but I know deep down,
I will be alone again tonight.

Not alone completely,
three kids do bring me bliss,
I crave a man however,
to have that night times kiss.

For now it's just the four of us,
to get past every week,
although deep inside my lonely heart,
a man's love is what I seek.
