Dark Seasons

Carried on the wind
like the blossoming flowers
his scent is anew.

The hot days grow long
as she awaits her lover
at nightfall he comes.

As leaves start to drop
he whispers upon her neck
his eternal vow.

She leans into him
his teeth nip then sink deeply
her blood paints the snow.
