about my family
Our family
Is like broken glass
Held together by a frame
Once separated
It will never be one again
The frame
Was fixed with scotch tape and glue
In a half assed way
The missing pieces are still showing
Its jagged edges with blood hanging off the edge
It’s a hidden symbol of all the lies I went through
It’s a cheep frame
Now shabby
Cracked and about to fall apart
Let it fall and litter the floor
Stab feet
Like they stabbed my heart
Let it be lost forever
In the trash bin
In the rain
Flush it down the sink
Down the drain
Love was always a fleeting thing
Like imagination
Dangerous
And never easy to catch
It always fled away
Or was snuffed out
Like a match
