This poem I wrote due to a song, it inspired me to take a look at the United Sates
Allegiance

Allegiance

We pledge allegiance to this land
Our  the soldiers who took this stand
As we trudged through the sand and showed you our hand
We became more than just soldiers but a brother's band
We waved our fist in the air and you saw what we had to declare
Don't think the lives lost, were that of even fair
There is no wrong or no right as long as we bring the fight
This land we will defend as our families continue to descend
You will hear the thunder of our guns and our only begotten sons
When we bring this fight to your shore, you will know it's us at your door
We are the men and woman, the mothers, brothers, the sisters, and the forefathers.
That gave their live to show you this country will never divide
The many soldiers who watched the stars and strips as their tears they wiped.
The thud of our footsteps, as we run you down.
You will realize we're not going to be pushed around
The many ships that set sail to give our enemy's hell
We believe in that our Liberty bell
For all the armed forces and the nameless corpses
For the loved ones lost but not forgot
For all the wars that were fought
Let freedom ring and the righteous sing
Listen to the roar as a thousand planes soar
Realize if you decide wrong, as the you hear our battle song
Listen as our tears hit the paper and bleed the ink into vapor
And realize you have just declared war, now there is going to be more
Remember our name as we wave our flag for the land of the free and the home of the brave.
There is only one nation that has a given right to be United and fight
For the many races and the never forgotten faces
The stars and the strips for each of us you will hear
You see only fifty; remember we are a nation of plenty
We declare this land our land as we take this stand
And tell you we pledge allegiance
