Abstraction-type poem about painting and art
Painting

Fingers fold around, select a shaft of color
seeking strokes that soothe and satisfy
transferring emotion- pain and pleasure-
to the white space before.
Transformed now, its nakedness covered by mine
the paper shouts, exposes me to the stares of others’
dislikes and delights at the same time.
Do you like it?
It matters not. It is the way I see it-
your world reflected in my eyes.
