a sonnet about love and hope...
If all the hells of life did congregate
And press against my door, seeking entry
Would you be there or would you be too late
To stop the hells of life from taking me.
I felt the brush of fingers on my neck
And whirled to see to what they did belong,
I saw the horrors at his call and beck
That shambled towards me from his grisly song.
The horrors did come close, and near claimed me
But then a spark of light drove them away.
The light was you, new come to set me free,
Just as the light of dawn signaled the day.
That you are here always to be with me
Makes life refill with joy so plenteously!
