Love is friendship
What is a friend I ask of myself.
Someone to talk to I have no doubt.
A kindred to turn to when one is troubled.
An unyielding supporter, resolve not  humbled.
To give and to take with no boundaries set.
To admire and respect, no time for regrets.
To share our worst along with our best.
To care what they think and to forget the rest.

What is a friend I ask of you.
That special someone, forever true.
A shoulder to lean on when you are weary.
Someone to understand should your eyes turn teary.
A touch of inspiration when none can be found.
A feeling of togetherness though no one's around.
The one that will be there no matter the time.
That one with no reason and definitely no rhyme.

What is a friend I ask no more.
I have found my friend, she is the one I adore.
