The Tide

Dark tides crash into the sand,
Pulling grains into the abyss,
Waves of rage and fury,
Tug at the sands of existence.

Such torment as each wave crashes,
Foaming at the sight of innocent prey.
One more lost grain devoured,
Sinking to the opaque depths of far away.

Sands fight, aimlessly torn into the vast unknown.
Waiting to be devoured by the sea demons below,
Floating with hopeless desperation,
To find the lost tide that will carry them home.
