An observation of Autumn.
Her long shadow stretches over the slumbering earth, as if reaching down and out to her children's drying forms.  They've long since fallen from their mother's embrace.  Their paper-like shapes scatter as the brisk air sweeps across the landscape, leaving the orphans to decompose where they fall until they are swept away again.
