Writting after my grandfather passed, we all have to say goodbye at some point.
Parting is never easy,
For old memories come alive.
Yearning for the yesterdays,
I pray that I will survive.

A grueling fate no doubt,
For the ones left here on earth.
Alone we wait to be with you again,
Reveling in thoughts of fun and mirth.

The sun will rise again tomorrow,
Ushering in a brand new day.
In my eyes I see you’re gone,
These words are hard to say.

Sweet sorrows, goodbye!
Yet losing you I do not fear.
The thought of you will live forever,
Your voice, so softly, in my ear.
