Looking back at who we were...

      Yesterday is Gone

      Reflections of a leaf,
      against a cold lonely stream,
floating down to some place new,
far away from it's original tree.
      Yesterday is gone,
We live the life of the leaf,
      Never to go back again.
      Or to change what was,
In life or love no matter how long or brief...

    The stream is life,
The trip down it is very fast.
It can be calm or turbulent,
as we never know how long it will last.
It could stop along the way,
As we could fall in love One day,
Stay there for a day or forever?
    Yesterday is gone,
    When the season change
    We too must face,
    That we are not invincible,
    In time nor in space....

    Forever we can not stay,
    Holding on to the tree.
We too as does the leaf,
must break away and be free.
As the Sun gives us love,
The night gives us our dreams,
    Yesterday is Gone,
    We follow a parallel world,
    Reflections of the leaf,
As if follows it's path downstream....
