An event that happened while I was driving that was very symbolic of my life.
It was noon and the sun was harsh on her cheek. Her entire face was split: burning on the left and blessedly cool on the right.

She wondered why she was the only one on this side of the road.

The other side of the divider was packed with traffic, with cars barely moving an inch every ten minutes.

She drove West, unhindered, tracing the setting sun's path, but feeling a trifle uncomfortable and alone.

A flock of black birds cut across the sky, following their own direction, heedless of anything as mundane as streets and traffic lights.

She wondered what it felt like to Fly.
