Life is but a fleeting thing
Both precious and fragile
Our days in the sun
Our short-lived moments of glory
Stormy nights
And skeletons in closets
Will eventually vanish

Life is but a short-lived song
Beautiful and wretched
Transient and fickle
Mild and severe
Our bodies die
But our souls will endure
In a perfect realm
