A snow-clad forest scene.
SNOW WORLD

Snow- clad ground and snow-clad trees,
Snow flakes drift in the air.
Long white paths in the forest,
But not a soul is there.

None moves out in the open.
Not a bird in the sky.
No sign of a living thing,
No insect can I spy.

But these paths, cold and forlorn,
In the forest open,
Have a beauty of their own
That transcends description.

Savour this nascent freshness,
Spreading divine message.
In three months spring will be here.
Gone will be this snow age.
