Entry for the 55 Words Contest
From France With Love



The long, transatlantic trip ended with a short walk from a covert parking spot. Inside, the confidante instructed, “Mom, close your eyes -- tight!”

Her sister silently entered their childhood home and stood before her, holding the precious cargo. “Ok, Mom. Open!”

Shocked tears fell as she reached for the tiny grandson she’d never seen before.
