Chapter 1:

"Okay, run!" shouted Brownie, a brown cat.
Tin-Tin, a red and orange cat, ran for the open door.
Brownie ran beside him as they raced through some thorns.
"Oww!" winced Tin-Tin as a sharp thorn poked his tail.
"Come on, run!" shouted Brownie as he saw the Human Fleeing whom he belonged to chasing them. It was fast!
Brownie ran under a bush and waited for Tin-Tin. A few seconds later, Tin-Tin joined him.
"Are you okay?" asked Brownie.
"Fine, keep on running unless you want to be kept in a home!" laughed Tin-Tin as he took off.
Brownie shivered and followed him. Soon, they came to a hole in a log.
" We'll sleep here tonight!" announced Brownie.
" I can' believe we're free!" said Tin-Tin as, purring loudly, he lay down to sleep.
Tin-Tin woke up with the wonderful sun warming his thick coat of fur. He jumped up to see Brownie pulling a huge mouse over.
"Boy, Thanks!" said Tin-Tin licking his tail.
"Not everyone sleeps 'till noon!" teased Brownie.
Tin-Tin playfully slapped him on the ear and ate the mouse.
They walked all day and reached an old, 2 1/2 property.
"Help! Help!" shouted a little voice suddenly.
Tin-Tin and Brownie took off running through the leaves. They saw a little black head poking through a hole.
Tin-Tin grabbed the kitten's scruff and pulled him out. Then, he helped him to a bed Brownie had made from an old blanket.
Suddenly, Brownie screamed. Tin-Tin looked up and saw a huge boulder coming down at them!

Chapter 2:

Tin-Tin pushed the kitten towards Brownie. Then, he lept out of the way. The boulder hit the spot where Tin-Tin was just standing.
"You saved my life!" exclaimed the kitten.
"I saved mine as well," replied Tin-Tin "What's your name?"
"Soot!" he said.
"I'm Brownie and he's Tin-Tin" said Brownie.
"We're starting a village just for cats!" exclaimed Tin-Tin.
"We're what?" said Brownie.
"Cool!" exclaimed Soot "My Human Fleeing buried me!"
"Do you want to help us?" asked Tin-Tin.
"Do I ever!" shouted Soot.
"Then we need to rest," said Brownie.
"Oh, Ok" sighed Soot.
Later that night, something woke Brownie up. He jumped up and smelt a mouse. He quickly killed it and saw a a figure moving. It got in a car and drove off. It was a Human Fleeing!
The next morning, the ate the mouse and Brownie told them what he had seen.
"Something's up!" exclaimed Soot.
"Now, Now" warned Tin-Tin"Human Fleeings are always doing dumb and insane things"
"I know, but maybe something's up!" Soot said.
"Maybe" Brownie said.
"Let's get working!" said Tin-Tin
"Oh Boy!" shouted Soot.
Brownie still felt something was going on. But, he tried to ignore the feeling of dread.

Chapter 3

The whole day they worked digging a big hole and filling it with food for the village. Then, they put some leaves over it.
"That was fun!"exclaimed Soot.
"Tomorrow we'll have to get some bricks from a Human Fleeing Software," said Tin-Tin.
"No, No, No" Brownie said but, the others ignored him.
"Cool!" exclaimed Soot.
"Goodnight," said Tin-Tin.
Soot and Brownie lay down next to him and they were soon fast asleep.
The next morning, Tin-Tin woke up before the others. He got up and started washing himself.
Soon, Brownie woke up.
"Hey!" said Tin-Tin.
"Hey, I'm starving!" Brownie replied.
"Help yourself!" Tin-Tin said.
Brownie walked over to the food pile and chose a pigeon.
Later, Soot finally woke up and said "Let's go on an expedition!"
"Eat first, expedition later," replied Brownie.
"Oh alright," moaned Soot.
When they had all eaten, they decided to go and explore the whole property.
Soot ran ahead, chasing squirrels. Tin-Tin saw something in the grass up ahead. He examined it and saw it was a bucket. He picked it up and showed it to Soot.
"Ooo, exciting, it's a bucket!" said Soot sarcastically.
"We can carry water in it." Tin-Tin said.
"Ya think!" said Soot, rolling his eyes.
"Guys, come look here!" shouted Brownie.
Soot and Tin-Tin ran to him. he was holding a sign that said "Property For Sale - $900"

Chapter 4

"900 pieces of lettuce!" Soot exclaimed.
"Oh No!" Brownie said "We'll have to leave!"
"NEVER!" shouted Tin-Tin.
Brownie had never seen him so serious.
"Look!" said Soot.
Brownie looked where Soot was pointing and saw a pretty Calico get pulled into a house by a cruel Human Fleeing.
"I'll save you!" exclaimed Soot running off. The Human Fleeing squeaked in delight and grabbed Soot. Then, he pulled both of them into the house and shut the door.
"Sooot," moaned Brownie. He had come to really like the energetic kitten.
"Run!" shouted Tin-Tin.
Brownie looked up and saw the Human Fleeing chasing them! Was
it insane?
Brownie and Tin-Tin ran behind a bush of thorns.
"Ow!" moaned Brownie.
"Come on!" Tin-Tin shouted.
Soon, they came to a high tree and climbed high up.
Suddenly, the human Fleeing started climbing up.

Meanwhile, Soot was talking to the Calico.
"I'm Soot ," he said.
"Hey, I'm Callie 'cause my Human Fleeing doesn't have much imagination," she replied.
"You want to escape?" asked Soot.
"You bet!" exclaimed Callie. "And, I've got a way out!"
"What?" asked Soot.
"We get knives and stab our way out!" she replied.
Callie ran to a cupboard and started searching for knives. Soot followed and helped.
Suddenly, the door slammed shut and they were plunged into darkness.

Chapter 5:

"No!" cried Brownie as the Human Fleeing grabbed his body.
"Get your disgusting hands off my fur!" he shouted, clawing it's hands.
Tin-Tin and Brownie jumped down and ran away.
"Yuck, it got it's slobber on my fur!" complained Brownie.
Finally the Human Fleeing let out a sad shriek and walked home.

"Noo!" shouted Soot.
Callie grabbed a knife and, using her mouth, stabbed the door. The knife just bounced off.
Soot had a fit and threw everything down.
"I hate Human Fleeings!" he shouted.
Then, he slammed the door as hard as he could. He just bounced off and hit Callie.
"Watch it!" she screamed.
Suddenly, they heard a door slam.
"My Human Fleeing's home!" she said
"Oh Great," said Soot sarcastically.
"Just make a lot of noise," Callie replied dryly.
"MEOW!" he meowed.
"MEEEOWW!" Callie shouted.
Soon, the Human Fleeing opened the door. They ran past it with the knives in their mouths.
Callie stabbed at the screen door and hopped through the door.
The Human Fleeing shouted but they kept on running.
Soon, they saw Brownie and Tin-Tin.
"Soot!" Brownie exclaimed.
"This is Brownie and Tin-Tin." Soot explained.
"Hey, I'm Callie" said Callie.
"We've got knives" Soot added.
Tin-Tin touched noses with Callie and said "Nice to meet you!"
They grabbed the bucket and got some water from a pond.
Then, they chopped the sign into little pieces with the knives.
