A sonnet I wrote on a hot, summer day.
It seems to me, all we need is scenery

The subtle sound of growing grass in the ground

While chirping birds complete their harmony

In a simple place, freedom is found.

The sun and I, we speak through waves.

My body absorbs heat and reflects his light.

But I can't do him justice; it's land he craves.

I only miss his shine at night.

A blue bird passes so silent but quick

Unstoppable, she flies with a goal in her mind.

My hand reaches to touch, but the air is too thick.

She's left me, along with her worries, far behind.

I took a moment to soak in nature's bliss.

And for those few minutes, there wasn't a thing I missed.
